Michael Vaughan and Wasim Jaffer are known for engaging in hilarious banter on social media.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan brutally trolled former India batsman Wasim Jaffer on ‘X’ (formerly Twitter) over Indian cricket team‘s defeat in the recently-concluded ODI series against Sri Lanka in Colombo.

After winning the three-match T20I series 3-0 against hosts Sri Lanka in Pallekele, it was expected that the Men in Blue would dominate the three ODIs as well. However, the hosts bounced back and outclassed India in Colombo.

The visitors lost the three-match ODI series by 2-0. This was Sri Lanka’s first ODI bilateral series victory against India since 1997. Throughout the ODI series, the Indian batters barring Rohit Sharma looked clueless against Sri Lanka’s spin-bowling attack.

The Rohit Sharma-led side lost 27 wickets out of 30 to spin, which was the most by any team to spinners in an ODI bilateral series (maximum of three games).

Michael Vaughan trolls Wasim Jaffer by asking the result of the ODI series in Sri Lanka

Jaffer and Vaughan are known for their friendly banter on Twitter. Both the former players leave no chance to poke each other whenever the other’s team doesn’t do well.

This time it was Vaughan who teased Jaffer when the former Indian cricketer hosted a Q&A session for his followers on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday.

“Been a long time since we did this. Let’s do an #AskWasim. Fire away and I’ll try to play with a straight bat,” Wasim Jaffer tweeted.

Reacting to Jaffer’s tweet, former England skipper Vaughan brutally trolled Jaffer by asking about the result of the ODI series in Sri Lanka.

“Hi Wasim .. What was the recent ODI series result in Sri Lanka ? I have been away and missed it .. Hope all is well,” Vaughan tweeted.
