"Don't like trophies?" Former MI bowler Mitchell McClenaghan roasts RCB fan on Twitter

Mitchell McClenaghan trolled an RCB fan on twitter on Sunday.
Mitchell McClenaghan, former New Zealand and Mumbai Indians (MI) bowler roasted an RCB fan to a crisp after the fan tried to get one on the cricketer during the ongoing Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) vs Rajasthan Royals (RR) IPL 2023 encounter at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on April 23, 2023.
After a fantastic victory over Punjab Kings in Mohali, RCB entered this game looking to build on its winning streak. Virat Kohli took over as captain once more as they wore the green shirt, with Faf du Plessis serving only as an impact player and batting only.
On a Bengaluru track that was incredibly dry, Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain Sanju Samson elected to bowl first after winning the toss. Same bowling side as in the prior game for RR. Meanwhile, Wayne Parnell was replaced by David Willey in the starting XI, according to Virat Kohli, who led the RCB for the second time this season.
Kohli didn’t have a welcome return to Bengaluru as captain for the first time since 2019, as he was dismissed LBW by Trent Boult on the first ball of the match, making the RCB captain the New Zealander’s 100th IPL victim.
The RCB innings was rebuilt by Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell who added 127 runs for the second wicket after Shahbaz Ahmed was also dismissed for cheap, again by Boult. Du Plessis made 62 before being run out and Maxwell fell to Ravi Ashwin for 77 in 44 balls.
While I’m not an RCB fan - I’m a Faf and Maxwell fan: Mitchell McClenaghan trolls a RCB fan
Watching these incredible innings in which Faf du Plessis hit 8 fours and 2 sixes and Maxwell smoked 4 sixes and 6 fours in their respective knocks, former MI and New Zealand bowler Mitchell McClenaghan took to Twitter to praise the duo.
He posted: “While I’m not an RCB fan - I’m a Faf and Maxwell fan. Damn these guys are playing beautifully.”
To this, an RCB fan took huge offense and said that the franchise fanbase didn’t need fans like him.
The fan tweeted: “We RCBIANS don't want fans like u mitch”
However, McClenaghan being himself, came up with a brilliant response, hurting the RCB fan where it pained the most and made a quip at the lack of IPL trophies in RCB cabinet.
He replied: “Don’t like trophies?”
Despite playing in the IPL finals 3 times, RCB are yet to win a single IPL title, a dream which Virat Kohli carried as their captain from 2013-2021 before stepping down without a trophy to his name.
