Australia Cricket Team crushed West Indies Cricket Team in third test of the three-match series by 176 runs. Pacer Mitchell Starc bowled an impeccable spell in second innings of the match. The left-arm pacer captured a six-wicket haul to demolish the West Indies batting unit.
West Indies had a target of 204 runs in the encounter. However, they could manage only 27 runs in the fight as Starc dismissed the first five batsmen within just 15 deliveries. Later, he added another wicket to his kitty to register six wickets for just nine runs during his spell, which are his best bowling figures in the longest format of the game.
With the victory, Australia also bagged a whitewash in the three-match test series 3-0. Earlier, they won the first test by 159 runs and the second test by 133 runs. Notably, Starc broke plenty of records with his brilliant bowling show in the encounter.

1. Starc reached his 400th test wicket in the match. He took 19064 balls to get to 400 wickets. He has become the second quickest bowler to reach the milestone after Dale Steyn in terms of balls taken, who reached the milestone in 16,334 balls.
2. Starc is the fourth Australian bowler to pick 400 wickets in tests after Shane Warne, Glenn McGrath, and Nathan Lyon.
3. The Australian pacer has become the second bowler in test cricket history to grab three wickets in the first over in a test innings. Previously, the feat was achieved by former India pacer Irfan Pathan, who picked a hat-trick in the first over in a match against Pakistan in 2006.
4. Starc now accounts for 23 wickets in first over of an innings in test cricket, only next to James Anderson, who picked 29.
5. Starc took 15 balls to reach his five-wicket haul in the match, the quickest in the history of test cricket. The previous record was held by Ernie Toshack, Stuart Broad, and Scott Boland off 19 deliveries.
6. The 35-year-old pacer completed his five-wicket haul within 4.3 overs in the match, becoming the quickest to get to a fifer in an innings. Stuart Broad previously held the record, completing it in just 6.1 overs, which came against Australia at Trent Bridge in 2015.
7. Starc has also achieved the best bowling figures (6/9) by a bowler in his 100th test match. He has broken Muttiah Muralitharan’s record (6/54) against Bangladesh in 2006.
