Mithun Manhas appointed President, Pragyan Ojha, RP Singh join selection committee ! Check full list of all new BCCI officials

Mithun Manhas has replaced Roger Binny as the new president of BCCI.
Mithun Manhas, a former cricketer from Delhi and Jammu and Kashmir, has been elected as the new president of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The decision was taken during BCCI’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), which took place in Mumbai on Sunday, September 28. Manhas will replace Roger Binny in the role, becoming the 37th President of governing body.
Manhas, a former right-handed batsman and occasional off-spinner, led Delhi in many domestic seasons. He played 157 first-class matches during his 18-year-long domestic career, smacking 9174 runs with 27 centuries and 49 fifties. In the 2007-08 season, he led Delhi to the Ranji Trophy title.
He also played 55 games in Indian Premier League (IPL), representing teams in Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals), now-defunct Pune Warriors, and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). He has also served as the assistant coach of Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings), Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), and Gujarat Titans (GT). He also served as the Director of Cricket for the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association.
Rajeev Shukla, Devajit Saikia retain their positions, Prabhtej Singh Bhatia promoted to joint-secretary

During the AGM, Rajeev Shukla was retained as the vice-president of BCCI, while Devajit Saikia will continue to be the secretary. Prabhtej Singh Bhatia was promoted as joint secretary with Raghuram Bhatt being appointed as treasurer.
Jaydev Niranjan Shah has been picked as the sole member of the BCCI’s Apex Council and will look after critical policy guidance. Arun Singh Dhumal and M. Khairul Jamal Majumdar were inducted into the Indian Premier League (IPL) Governing Council.
Moreover, former Indian cricketers Pragyan Ojha and RP Singh have joined the men’s national team selection committee. Delhi’s Amita Sharma has been appointed as chairperson of the Women’s Selection Committee. Sulakshana Naik and Shravanti Naidu have also joined the committee.

(a) President: Mr. Mithun Manhas
(b) Vice President: Mr. Rajeev Shukla
(c) Secretary: Mr. Devajit Saikia
(d) Joint Secretary: Mr. Prabhtej Bhatia
(e) Treasurer: Mr. A. Raghuram Bhat
- One representative of the General Body was elected in the Apex Council of the BCCI:
(a) Mr. Jaydev Shah
- Two representatives in the Indian Premier League Governing Council were elected:
(a) Mr. Arun Singh Dhumal; and
(b) Mr. M Khairul Jamal Majumdar.
- The Men’s Selection Committee will have the following members:
- Mr. Ajit Agarkar (Chairperson);
- Mr. Shiv Sundar Das;
- Mr. Ajay Ratra;
- Mr. R. P. Singh; and
- Mr. Pragyan Ojha.
