Mohammad Amir dismissed Navneet Dhaliwal for four runs.

In the ongoing Group A match between Pakistan and Canada at the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, Pakistan left-arm pacer Mohammad Amir bowled a peach of a delivery, which castled Canada opener Navneet Dhaliwal’s stumps at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on June 11.

After winning the toss and opting to bowl first, Pakistan skipper Babar Azam brought Shaheen Shah Afridi to bowl the first over of the Canada innings.

However, Shaheen went for two boundaries in the very first over, which provided a poor start for the Men in Green in the must-win encounter. Shaheen conceded 11 runs. In the very next over, right-arm pacer Naseem Shah went for five runs as Canada reached 16/0 in two overs.

Men in Green skipper Babar Azam then introduced veteran left-arm speedster Amir into the attack to bowl the third over in hope of breaking the Canada opening partnership.

On the very delivery, Canada opener Navneet played a gorgeous short-arm jab with an open bat as the ball raced away through cover-point for a boundary. Pacer Amir then took his revenge when he uprooted opener Navneet’s middle stump with a pacy delivery.

The veteran Pakistan pacer bowled a fullish inswing delivery on the middle stump line. Dhaliwal, who stayed back in order to defend. The Canada opener missed it completely as the ball swung into him sharply and beat his inside edge, and the ball crashed into his middle-stump.
