The latest progress has certainly hinted at the reasons for Pakistan’s horrible time in England during the recent test series. As reported, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has played a key role in the recent developments and has informed the ICC Anti-Corruption Unit.
Notably, Rizwan was one of the few Pakistani cricketers who raised their voices against Pakistan’s decision to promote betting apps or sites through sponsor logos. He even covered the logo on his PSL jersey.
But now, he himself is found guilty of an involvement in gambling and betting. Notably, Rizwan, along with opener Imam-ul-Haq, was asked to submit their mobile phones after the ENG vs PAK series. Their mobiles were seized in regard to the betting case.
However, the accusations were cleared later on. However, the new case has emerged now, which is not good for the goodwill of Pakistan cricket at the international level.
Though there is no official confirmation by the NCCIA for any proof or finding against Rizwan or Imam, the injury is underway. Notably, the PCB chief, Mohsin Naqvi, is the key authority, who is also the interior minister of the country.
