Mohammed Siraj thanks Sachin Tendulkar on X
On Saturday, August 9, Tendulkar shared a video on the official X (formerly Twitter) account of his app “100 MB”. In the video, he heaped praises on Siraj for his performance in England and his superb approach while bowling.
“Unbelievable, superb approach. I really like his attitude. I love the spring in his legs. If you don’t look at the scoreboard and only at his (Siraj’s) body language, you won’t be able to tell if he’s taken five wickets or not a single one,” he said.
Later on Sunday, August 10, Siraj shared the video on his X account and thanked Tendulkar for his words.
Notably, India won two matches during the England series – the second test at Edgbaston and the fifth test at The Oval. Siraj clinched five-wicket hauls in both matches and played a crucial role in the team’s victory. Jasprit Bumrah was rested in both these games, and Siraj took the responsibility of the pace department in the former’s absence.
Meanwhile, Shubman Gill and Harry Brook won Player of the Series awards in the ENG vs IND test series. With 754 runs in five matches, Gill finished as the highest run-scorer in the series and broke plenty of batting records.
