Mohammed Siraj withdrawn from Ireland & England T20Is due to THIS reason; Prasidh Krishna replaces him

Mohammed Siraj has been replaced by Prasidh Krishna in India’s squad.
Indian Cricket Team will tour Ireland and England for a white-ball series later this month. India will play against Ireland in two T20I games on June 26 and 28. Later, they are scheduled to play five T20I games against England in July.
Mohammed Siraj has been named in both these T20I series. Recently, he played for India in the one-off Test match against Afghanistan. He picked one wicket in the match, which India won by an innings and 300 runs.
Ahead of the IND vs AFG one-off test, Siraj was doubtful to play in the encounter. He was under medical observation in New Chandigarh but was cleared to participate in the match. Notably, Siraj has been continuously playing over the last four months.
From February to March, he was part of T20 World Cup 2026. He replaced injured Harshit Rana just a few days ahead of the tournament. From the last week of March to May, he was busy in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. Siraj was part of the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the campaign and also played in the final. Now, Siraj will not touch the field for the next few months.
Mohammed Siraj ruled out of T20Is against England and Ireland
Notably, Siraj will not be able to play in the T20I series against England and Ireland. The BCCI medical team advised Siraj not to play in the series to avoid injury. The medical team has advised him to take rest for a few months. Moreover, Prasidh Krishna has replaced him in India’s squad.
Krishna also played for GT alongside Siraj. He featured in the one-off test against Afghanistan, clinching three wickets. Surprisingly, the right-arm pacer will make a comeback to the T20Is after a gap of two years. His last T20I game was against Australia in November 2023.
