[Watch] Mohsin Khan’s beautiful in-swinger castles Rachin Ravindra for golden duck in LSG vs CSK IPL 2024 clash
LSG captain KL Rahul won the toss and choose to bowl first against CSK in Lucknow.
Despite a promising start to his IPL 2024 career, Chennai Super Kings’ New Zealand batter Rachin Ravindra has found himself struggling off late. He added another disappointing outing to this tally as he was dismissed for a golden duck with CSK met Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Lucknow on April 19, 2024.
The New Zealander received his first IPL contract with the Chennai Super Kings for the current season. With his compatriot Devon Conway out with an injury, Rachin Ravindra was given the opportunity to open the batting for CSK from the first game.
He began his IPL 2024 campaign with promising performances of 37 and 46 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Gujarat Titans, respectively. However, Ravindra has not been particularly impressive with the bat since then. These two knocks were followed by outings of 2, 12, 15, and 21.
IPL 2024: Rachin Ravindra caught in the trap of Mohsin Khan’s dangerous ball
In the ongoing LSG vs CSK match, KL Rahul, the home team captain, won the toss and chose to chase. The match is being played at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow.
After the first over by Matt Henry was negotiated well by Ajinkya Rahane, Rachin Ravindra faced off against Mohsin Khan, the tall left-arm seamer. But to his and CSK fans’ dismay, Ravindra was unable to open his account with Mohsin Khan dismissing him for a golden duck with a beauty. The left-handed batter was on strike for the opening ball of Mohsin Khan’s second over.
Mohsin bowled a full-length delivery that slanted in at the last second. Rachin attempted to drive the ball but was beaten on the ends due to the ball’s late movement, which clattered into the middle and off stump.
Here is the video:
CSK have set Lucknow Super Giants a target of 177 after being put to bat first. Ravindra Jadeja top-scored for the Super Kings with a handy unbeaten half-century, while Moeen Ali (30 off 20) and Ajinkya Rahane (36 off 24) also provided valuable contributions.
MS Dhoni then finished things off with a fiery cameo that saw him smash two sixes and three boundaries for a 9-ball 28. Jadeja remained unbeaten on 57 from 40 deliveries with the help of five boundaries and a six.
