Jasprit Bumrah bowled a maiden over against Afghanistan during the 2nd IND vs AFG T20I match.
The second T20I between India and Afghanistan in Delhi brought immense focus on the clash between bat and ball. India entered the contest with a 1-0 lead after their commanding seven-wicket victory in the series opener. Abhishek Sharma was India’s star with the bat, and Arshdeep Singh had the upper hand with the ball.
While T20 cricket is generally associated with boundaries, high strike rates and aggressive batting, another massive record has emerged as the centrepiece. Restricting those hard-hitting batters to just zero runs in an over seems the toughest job.

Bumrah sits at the top of the list with 13 maiden overs in T20I cricket. The Indian quick has consistently combined pace with exceptional control, making him one of the format’s most economical frontline bowlers.
Bumrah’s 13th maiden over in a T20I game came during the recently played India vs Afghanistan second T20I match. The ace pacer bowled the first over to the Afghan skipper, finishing with a set of six dot balls.
He is followed in the list by a group of international fast bowlers. Zimbabwe’s Richard Ngarava has bowled 12 maiden overs in his career. Indian seamer Bhuvneshwar Kumar also sits on this list with 10 maiden overs.
