Afghanistan opener Ibrahim Zadran played a crucial role in his team’s run to the semis of the T20 World Cup 2024. He was the fifth-highest scorer in the tournament.
Overall in 2024, he has scored 844 runs at an average of 33. In 27 innings, he’s recorded one century and eight fifties. His century came against Sri Lanka in a test match.
4. Pathum Nissanka – 918 runs

Sri Lanka opener Pathum Nissanka has been a reliable performer this year for his side. In 2024, he has scored 918 runs so far at an average of 51 in 21 innings. He’s raised three centuries and as many half-centuries.
This year, he became the first Sri Lankan batsman to hit an ODI double century.
3. Rohit Sharma – 990 runs

With 990 runs under his belt, India skipper and opener Rohit Sharma has scored the third-most runs in 2024. He was on fire during the T20 World Cup, where he ended as the second-highest scorer with 257 runs at a strike rate of 156, and led his country to the title.
Rohit has cracked two test centuries and one T20I century this year. He has six half-centuries to show as well.
2. Yashasvi Jaiswal – 1033 runs

Young India batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal took international cricket by storm this year. He has scored the most runs in 2024. He amassed 712 runs in the home five-match test series against England. Apart from that, in eight T20Is, he has smashed 293 runs.
In only 19 innings, the left-hander has scored 1033 runs at an average of 60 with two centuries (both double hundreds) and five fifties.
1. Kusal Mendis – 1034 runs

Sri Lankan keeper-batsman Kusal Mendis has been an in-form batter across formats this year. He has the most runs in 2024 so far – 1034 runs at an average of 33. He doesn’t have any century to show but has notched up seven half-centuries.
