Australia Women have been the most successful side in the WODIs as they have dominated the oppositions over the years and also have won seven ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup titles.
Over the years, many batters have made their mark in Women’s ODI cricket with their remarkable consistency with the bat. They have dominated the format with their technique, resilience, and match-winning abilities.
So far, only five batters have managed to score more than 5000 runs in Women’s ODI cricket. Moreover, only one batter has crossed the 7000-run mark in Women’s ODIs. On that note, let’s take a look at the top five highest run-scorers in Women’s ODI cricket.

5. Smriti Mandhana (India) – 5022 runs

India Women opener Smriti Mandhana occupies the fifth spot in this list. The left-handed batter has piled up 5022 runs in 112 games in Women’s ODI cricket so far, at a marvellous average of 47+. Mandhana has also hammered 13 centuries and 33 fifties in the format, including highest score of 136 runs. She also holds the record for the most ODI centuries for India Women.
4. Stafanie Taylor (West Indies) – 5873 runs
West Indies all-rounder Stafanie Taylor has scored 5873 runs in 170 ODIs since her debut in 2008. Across 163 innings, the West Indies stalwart has slammed seven centuries and 41 half-centuries at an average of 42.25. Her highest score in ODIs is 171 runs.
3. Suzie Bates (New Zealand) – 5925 runs

New Zealand all-rounder Suzie Bates has amassed 5925 runs in Women’s ODI cricket. Since 2006, she has played 174 ODIs for New Zealand and owns a batting average of 39.30. Across 166 innings, she has also smacked 13 tons and 37 fifties, with highest score of 168 runs.
2. Charlotte Edwards (England) – 5992 runs
Former England Women batter Charlotte Edwards clinches the second spot in this list. The former right-handed batter mustered 5992 runs in 191 ODIs during her career, registering an average of 38.16. With highest score of unbeaten 173 runs, Edwards slammed nine centuries and 46 half-centuries in Women’s ODI cricket.
1. Mithali Raj (India) – 7805 runs

Former India Women captain Mithali Raj steals the top spot with 7805 runs in 232 ODIs during her career. Raj, who retired in 2022, held a spectacular batting average of 50.68 in ODIs. The right-handed batter also smacked seven tons and 64 fifties in Women’s ODI, including highest score of an unbeaten 125 runs.
