IPL 2026: Orange Cap & Purple Cap after Eliminator, SRH vs RR

RR will now clash with GT in Qualifier 2 of IPL 2026.
Rajasthan Royals (RR) thrashed Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by 47 runs in the Eliminator of the Indian Premier League 2026 on May 27. After being asked to bat first, RR posted a gigantic total of 243/8 in the first innings.
Opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi led the batting from the front, smacking 97 runs off just 29 deliveries. He broke many batting records in the clash and helped RR to reach 125 runs in just eight overs. Dhruv Jurel also played a crucial knock to help RR reach a mammoth total.
SRH succumbed to the pressure and lost their openers, Abhishek Sharma (0) and Travis Head (17), cheaply. Ishan Kishan (33), Nitish Reddy (38), and Salil Arora (35) made some efforts, but it wasn’t enough for victory.
Losing five wickets for 81 runs, SRH lost the plot at the start itself. They were eventually bowled out for 196 runs, losing by 47 runs. RR will now face the Gujarat Titans in Qualifier 2 of IPL 2026 on May 29.
