Now, RCB will face the winner of Qualifier 2 in the final.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) defeated Gujarat Titans (GT) in Qualifier 1 to become the first finalist of the Indian Premier League 2026. RCB outplayed GT by a big margin of 92 runs.

After being asked to bat first, RCB piled up a gigantic total of 254/5 in the first innings. Devdutt Padikkal (30) and Virat Kohli (43) put on a 72-run stand for the second wicket, providing a good start.

Rajat Patidar (93*) rocked the field with the bat and remained unbeaten till the end to propel RCB to a mountainous total. He also made a crucial 95-run stand with Krunal Pandya (43). GT bowlers were completely helpless, and their fielders also made multiple goof-ups.

Losing openers Sai Sudharsan (14) and Shubman Gill (2) cheaply, the Gujarat Titans lost the plot at the start itself. Their key batters got out for single digits as they succumbed to the pressure.

RCB restricted them to 51/5 in the powerplay and eventually bowled them out for 162 runs to snatch an easy victory. Rahul Tewatia (68) scored a half-century, which was the only positive thing for GT.
