Former Indian captain MS Dhoni is celebrating his birthday on July 7, Tuesday. The veteran wicketkeeper-batsman turned 45, and his fans flooded social media platforms with heartwarming messages. Dhoni has been one of the trending searches on X in India since this morning (formerly Twitter).
Many of Dhoni’s fan pages across various social media platforms shared numerous posts about him on his special day. The right-handed batsman is considered the most successful Indian captain for leading the team to three ICC titles during his tenure.
Notably, Dhoni is a private person and often keeps a distance from social media platforms. He shares a limited number of posts on his account but is known for engaging in outdoor activities such as riding bikes and cars.
On July 7, India are locking horns with England in the 3rd T20I at Trent Bridge. Interestingly, Dhoni was spotted enjoying the encounter from the stands. This came as a huge surprise to fans and spectators, as there had been no prior news of Dhoni being in the United Kingdom to watch the match.

Meanwhile, the wicketkeeper-batter was last seen in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. He was part of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) but did not play a single match throughout the tournament due to injury.
Due to a calf injury, he missed the initial games, but despite getting fit later, he was not picked in the playing XI. Moreover, the CSK management did not give a clear reason for his absence from the field.
