The Chennai Super Kings captain, MS Dhoni came up with a funny response on being asked if IPL 2023 will be his last.
Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni is known for giving surprises to the fans. From leaving Captaincy to leaving International Cricket, MS Dhoni had a modest farewell in his more than 20 years long cricketing career. Fans are expecting this IPL 2023 will be his last one and will leave the field as he did so far. Whenever he is asked about his retirement plan he does not mention anything and lets everyone guess by his cheeky answers. Once again MS Dhoni has left fans guessing the time when he will hang up his cricket bat.
'Coaches will be under pressure if I Say something'
In an event when MS Dhoni was asked about his retirement plan from the Indian Premier League, he responded in a funny way once again. MS Dhoni responding to the question said, “There is a lot of time to take the call. Right now, we have lots of games and the coach will be under pressure if I say something”. Chennai Super Kings coach Stephen Fleming was sitting beside MS Dhoni and he also burst out in laughter after listening to MS Dhoni’s reply on his retirement plans.

With the bat, Dhoni has left everyone stunned. Dhoni has been batting beautifully at Number 8 for Chennai. He is playing the role of a finisher in a typical manner. It looks like he is just enjoying the time he has in the field rather than thinking about any other thing. MS Dhoni this year has scored 58 runs in 27 balls he played in 3 innings. He almost took CSK home against Rajasthan where he was chasing 20 runs in 6 balls against Sandeep Sharma.
After the 2019 World Cup exit, MS Dhoni made himself unavailable for International Cricket and in August 2020 he announced his retirement from International Cricket. Before that, he left the test Captaincy in mid Australia tour in 2014 leaving everyone surprised by his decision. CSK will be playing RCB in Southern Derby on Monday night at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.
