MS Dhoni undergoes successful knee surgery in Mumbai after IPL 2023
CSK Captain MS Dhoni was playing with a sore knee in the entire IPL 2023.
Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni has undergone successful knee surgery in Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital. According to a media report, MS Dhoni’s operation went well, and the 5 time Indian Premier League champion skipper is doing well after the process. Right now, he will be staying in the hospital two-three days and will get discharge after that period. Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala has treated the former World Cup-winning Indian captain. MS Dhoni had a knee problem during the IPL 2023 and was spotted limping multiple times during or after the game. Right after the IPL Final, Dhoni visited Kokilaben Hospital.
Director of Sports Medicine, Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala suggested MS Dhoni to undergo surgery to get fitter. Dhoni had announced after the final that he will be taking part one last time in the IPL 2024. Fans were expecting a retirement announcement from him but he had a surprise in his mind and put forward himself one more time. Though he was aware of his fitness and injuries that’s why he was talking about the 8-9 months gap in between the two seasons to take a call on his playing career before the IPL Final.
Chennai Super Kings CEO Kasi Viswanathan revealed to Cricuzz that he had spoken to Dhoni after the surgery. He said, “I spoke to him after the operation, I can not explain what the surgery was about but we have been told it is a keyhole surgery and he sounded fine in conversation”. Dhoni was admitted to Kokilaben Hospital on 31st May and his wife Sakshi Dhoni Rawat by his side during the treatment.
