[Watch] MS Dhoni seen limping in team hotel after MI vs CSK IPL 2024 clash

MS Dhoni scored a quick-fire 20 against MI on Sunday.

MS Dhoni was the star of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) win over Mumbai Indians (MI) on Sunday in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. CSK defeated their arch-rivals MI by 20 runs and solidified their No.3 spot on the IPL 17 points table.

CSK were asked to bat first by MI captain Hardik Pandya, who won the toss. Ruturaj Gaikwad with 69 and Shivam Dube with 66* starred with the bat, while MS Dhoni gave the fans their tickets’ worth as he slammed 20* in 4 balls. This included hitting Pandya for three consecutive sixes in the 20th over of CSK innings. CSK posted 206/4 in 20 overs.

In reply, Rohit Sharma made 105*, but got little support from other batters. Tilak Varma with 31 and Ishan Kishan with 23 were other notable scorers as MI was restricted to 186/6, losing by 20 runs. Matheesha Pathirana was the Player of the Match for his 4/28.

MS Dhoni sets off alarm bells as he is seen limping in team hotel

MS Dhoni has raised concerns among Chennai Super Kings (CSK) fans after being seen limping at the team hotel following CSK’s victory over MI.

The video, which has gone viral on social media, shows Dhoni looking uncomfortable as he walks on the ground and then returns to his hotel room. He also has an ice pack on his left hamstring.

CSK wre concerned about this, especially given that the tournament is still in its early stages. However, CSK will have a four-day break before their next match against LSG, providing Dhoni with much-needed recovery time.

While there has been no official statement from the CSK franchise on the extent of the injury or Dhoni’s availability for the next matches, the limp has surely raised concerns among his fans and the cricketing fraternity.
