The former England and KKR captain Eoin Morgan has lauded CSK captain MS Dhoni.

Former England skipper Eoin Morgan reckons that MS Dhoni's presence as captain will be a gaping hole once he retires. The Irishman believes the keeper-batter's penchant of developing players will be hard to replicate for anyone in the future.

Dhoni, who has four titles IPL titles under his belt as CSK skipper, is the most successful captain in the tournament history in terms of number of wins. The 41-year-old has continued his brilliant work in IPL 2023, but it is also likely to be his final season.

Speaking on Jio Cinema, here's what Morgan had to say in praise of Dhoni:

"It's just great to see. They are very grateful for him as a leader. But you will only realise how much he is missed when he goes. And that's going to be felt. His impact of leading key players in the side and the key performers. They will miss him when he finishes."

"It really oozed a lot of class" - Eoin Morgan on MS Dhoni's interview

Morgan further observed that Dhoni oozed a lot of dignity during the post-match presentation and was in awe of the veteran imparting his knowledge to the SunRisers' cricketers after Friday's game.

"I think that was the biggest thing to take away from the interview. Just his energy around what he was talking about. It really oozed a lot of class, but also showed how much enjoyment he was getting from leading this group. In the changing room, you can see how animated he is during the game. Saw just after the game, he is passing on all the information that he has gained over the years."

The Super Kings kept the SunRisers to 134 and chased it down with seven wickets to spare as Devon Conway stayed unbeaten at 77. For his figures of 4-0-22-3, Ravindra Jadeja bagged the Player of the Match award.
