MS Dhoni will not play after IPL 2023, feels his former teammate
Mohammed Kaif has played along with MS Dhoni for almost 3 years in international cricket.
After almost every season in the few years of the Indian Premier League, MS Dhoni’s retirement becomes a hot topic to discuss. Continuing the trend, uncertainty is there around MS Dhoni’s participation in the IPL next season. MS Dhoni has earned stardom and respect from everyone with his successful career. Along with a great international cricket career, MS Dhoni has been successful in the IPL too. There are ‘Dhoni… Dhoni…’ chats all around the country wherever this man goes on to play. Now former Indian star and one of Dhoni’s teammates in International cricket, Mohammed Kaif has put his perspective forward.
Kaif feels Dhoni has given enough hints
Talking about uncertainty over MS Dhoni’s future in the IPL, Kaif said, “I guess MS Dhoni has given enough hints. That this is his last IPL. He’s keeping the World guessing and that’s been his nature. But I have this intuition that Dhoni will not be playing next year”. Kaif felt that there were hints from MS Dhoni in the IPL 2023 to suggest that this is his last season. In the IPL 2022, he left the captaincy just before the start of the season but later on had to take the leadership role once again. He has won the IPL title for the 4-time with Chennai Super Kings.
Chennai Super Kings are among the top contenders in the IPL 2023. Currently, they are standing 2nd in the Points table with 15 points. CSK lost their last game against Kolkata Knight Riders by 6 wickets. After the game, Dhoni along with his Chennai teammates took a lap of the ground to thank the Chennai crowd. This was Chennai’s last league game of IPL 2023 at Chepauk. MS Dhoni has been in great form this season with the bat.
