Mumbai Indians bought back Trent Boult at the IPL 2025 mega auction.
Mumbai Indians (MI) rekindled their love for Trent Boult, who was a key cog in their IPL 2020 winning campaign, and brought him back at the IPL 2025 mega auction for INR 12.5 crores.
MI were mostly quiet on day 1 of the mega auction as they purchased only four players, but were busy on the second day, completing their squad.
The five-time champions finished at the bottom of the points table last season under new skipper Hardik Pandya, who had replaced Rohit Sharma at the helm.
MI used their RTM card on uncapped player Naman Dhir, who is a power-hitter, for INR 5.25 crores. Jharkhand’s keeper-batsman Robin Minz is another talented youngster MI roped at the mega auction.
Mumbai also shelled 9.25 crores on Deepak Chahar, who was with CSK until last season, and 4.8 crores on Allah Ghazanfar of Afghanistan.
Mumbai had retained five capped players before the auction.
