Mumbai Indians Women full squad after WPL 2025 auction

Mumbai Indians women are the WPL 2023 champions.

A total of 19 players, including five overseas, of which one belongs to an Associate Nation, were sold at the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 auction that was held on December 15 in Bengaluru. UP Warriorz bought three players, while the other four franchises bought four players each.

Gujarat Giants made the biggest splash in the auction by roping in Mumbai all-rounder Simran Shaikh for INR 1.9 crores. GG also made the second-most expensive pick at the auction – that of West Indies’ Deandra Dottin for INR 1.7 crores.

The third-most expensive player of the WPL 2025 auction was Tamil Nadu’s 16-year-old wicket-keeper, G Kamalini, who was bought by Mumbai Indians Women for INR 1.6 crores. In the recent Women’s Under-19 T20 Trophy, Kamalini hammered 311 runs in 8 innings at a strike rate of 123.90.

Apart from Kamalini, the WPL 2023 winners bought two other Indian players, Rajasthan’s Akshita Maheshwari and Madhya Pradesh’s Sanskriti Gupta, both for their base price of INR 10 lakhs, along with South Africa’s Nadine de Klerk for INR 30 lakhs.

After winning the WPL 2023 title, MI finished second in the points table in WPL 2024. They lost the Eliminator to RCB, who won the title by defeating Delhi Capitals in the final.
