WPL 2025 auction: Date, venue, available slots, purse and all you need to know

Each team will have a budget of INR 15 crores to build their squad at the WPL 2025 auction.
The Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2025 is slated to be played in February-March next year. It will be the third edition of this competition.
The inaugural season saw Harmanpreet Kaur’s Mumbai Indians win the title. In the second edition, earlier this year, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru, led by Smriti Mandhana, clinched the trophy to end RCB’s title drought.
The WPL 2025 season will be preceded by a mini-auction. The details of the WPL 2025 are given below.

What is the purse of each team for WPL 2025 auction?
The BCCI has increased the purse to INR 15 crores from INR 13.5 crores in the previous WPL auction.
How many slots are available in the WPL 2025 auction?
Earlier, the five franchises combined to retain 71 players. With each team allowed a maximum of 18 members in the squad (maximum six overseas), 19 slots are available to be filled in the WPL auction, out of which a maximum of five can be overseas.
Purse details of each team for WPL 2025 auction?
Gujarat Giants have the largest purse of INR 4.4 crores, while Delhi Capitals have the smallest purse of INR 2.5 crores.
