Sarfaraz Khan’s brother Musheer Khan recently played for Mumbai in Ranji Trophy 2023-24.

Sarfaraz Khan’s younger brother Musheer Khan was part of the Ranji Trophy 2023-24 winning side Mumbai and played a pivotal role in their campaign. Musheer Khan played a swashbuckling knock in the second innings of the final and smashed a century. Right hand-batter Musheer’s 136-run knock was crucial for Mumbai to give Vidarbha a mammoth 538-run target.

Musheer was also part of the India U19 side that played in ICC U19 Cricket World Cup 2024 in South Africa. Musheer became second Indian batter after Shikhar Dhawan to score two centuries in single edition of the U19 World Cup. Despite having all the success, Musheer Khan missed an IPL contract, but he is not disappointed about that. Musheer revealed that he need more time to understand T20 cricket.

Musheer’s mission IPL is on!

Even after missing out on getting a deal at IPL 2024 auction, Musheer Khan is still confident about his chances in the Indian Premier League. The 19-year-old batter Musheer spoke to PTI Videos and said, “My name is not in the IPL. But I don’t feel disappointed. My father tells me to play Test cricket and play for Team India. IPL will eventually happen, if not today then tomorrow.”

Musheer Khan is hopeful of getting an opportunity next year. Musheer added, “It’s good that I got another year to prepare for the IPL. I will understand T20 cricket more, and how I should prepare for this format.” Musheer Khan has just began his professional career in Indian domestic circuit and played only five First Class (FC) games for Mumbai.

Musheer’s elder brother Sarfaraz Khan recently made his test debut for India and played three test matches against England. Musheer, drawing inspiration from his elder brother, said, “I am really inspired by my brother because of his dedication and the way he bats. Our batting style is similar. He told me before the game to think of it as a normal match and not to take too much pressure.”
