PAK vs BAN: Mushfiqur Rahim achieves two historic milestones for Bangladesh during first test
Mushfiqur Rahim scored 191 runs in the first innings against Pakistan in the first test in Rawalpindi.
Bangladesh wicket-keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim achieved two historic milestones during the ongoing first test match against Pakistan at the Rawalpindi Stadium on August 24.
The veteran cricketer Mushfiqur came to bat when Bangladesh were trailing by 301 runs with seven wickets in hand in their first innings.
The 37-year-old scored 191 runs off 341 deliveries, including 22 boundaries and one six, which helped his side reach a commanding position. Earlier, Pakistan declared for 448 runs in their innings.
After Rahim’s glorious 191-run knock, the wicket-keeper batsman achieved two historic milestones for the Bangladesh cricket team.
1. Most away test hundreds by a Bangladesh batsman
The veteran wicket-keeper batsman went past opener Tamim Iqbal to become the Bangladesh batsman with the most away centuries in test cricket.
Mushfiqur notched up his fifth away ton and went past Tamim’s tally of four.

2. Second Bangladesh batsman to reach 15000-run landmark in international cricket
During the first test match against Pakistan in Rawalpindi, the 37-year-old Mushfiqur became only the second Bangladesh batsman to reach the 15000-run milestone in international cricket across formats.
The senior wicket-keeper joined opener Tamim Iqbal in the elusive list.
