Namibia Schedule for ICC T20 World Cup 2024, Fixtures, Dates, Venues

Namibia will kick-off their ICC T20 World Cup 2024 campaign against Oman on 2nd June, 2024.

ICC announced the schedule for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, placing Namibia in group B, alongside Australia, England, Oman, and Scotland. This revamped edition accommodates a record 20 teams, grouped into four sets of five teams each. The top two from each group will then embark on the challenging Super 8 stage, further divided into two groups of four. Top two teams from these groups, will earn their ticket to the semi-finals. The finals is set for June 29th.

Namibia will enter the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 with a history worth noting. Having participated twice before, they made a memorable debut in 2021, reaching the Super 12 stage. However, the following year in 2022 saw them missing the cut after the league round. The current edition presents a golden opportunity for Namibia to showcase their cricketing mettle against formidable powerhouses. It’s a chance for them to grow as cricket playing nation.

Namibia to take on Australia and England in group stage

Namibia will face a challenging journey in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Placed in group B, with encounters that promise excitement and intensity. Their campaign will kick-off on June 2 against Oman at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados. This opening match will set the stage for Namibia’s aspirations in the tournament.

On June 6, they will clash with Scotland at the same venue, Kensington Oval. The real tests lie ahead as Namibia will take on cricket giants Australia on June 11 at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, Antigua. This match against the former champions will undoubtedly be challenging, testing Namibia’s resilience. They will be concluding their group stage against another powerhouse, England, on June 15 at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium. The significant clash, providing Namibia with a chance to make a statement against the defending champions
