The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, lauded Indian Cricket Team after they won Asia Cup 2025.
The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi reacted to the Indian Cricket Team’s win over the Pakistan Cricket Team in Asia Cup 2025 final. He made a strong comment, saying that be it Operation Sindoor or a cricket game, the outcome is always the same – India winning.
The India team under the guidance of head coach Gautam Gambhir and captain Suryakumar Yadav won the Asia Cup 2025 undefeated. In what was an even more special moment, they beat arch-rivals Pakistan by five wickets in the summit clash at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai on Sunday (28th September).
The final of Asia Cup 2025 lived up to the expectations as the game went down to the wire and saw India snatching victory from the jaws of defeat. Pakistan, who were asked to bat, were right on the track to score big as Sahibzada Farhan (57) and Fakhar Zaman (46) took Indian bowlers to cleaners.
They etched an opening partnership of 84 runs but after that, the first innings was all about Indian spinners. Kuldeep Yadav picked four wickets, while Varun Chakravarthy and Axar Patel also bagged two wickets each to leave Pakistan in tatters.
Jasprit Bumrah, in the end, also picked two wickets as India bundled out Pakistan for 146 with the Salman Agha-led side losing the last nine wickets for just 33.
The start of the chase didn’t go in India’s way as they lost three wickets for just 20. With the top order back in the hut, Tilak Varma (69*) held the fort for his team as he played the best innings of his career.
He got support from Sanju Samson (23) and Shivam Dube (33), adding 50+ plus partnerships with both. Thanks to the efforts of the trio, India completed a magical win and bagged their ninth Asia Cup title.
