Naseem Shah FINED 20 million by PCB for THIS thing amid PSL 2026

Naseem Shah was found to have breached several clauses of his central contract.

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026 has been at the center of several ongoing controversies. From the mid-game change in the color of the ball to allegations of ball-tampering, the league has been hit by multiple issues and is being widely trolled by fans.

One of the most talked-about incidents involves Naseem Shah. Last week, PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi announced that the tournament would be held behind closed doors due to Pakistan’s need to conserve fuel, following the closure of the Strait of Hormuz amid the ongoing conflict in West Asia.

However, a few dignitaries were present at the opening match of the tournament, including the Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz. Nawaz, who is also the daughter of former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, faced criticism from many fans, including star Pakistani bowler Naseem Shah.

Naseem took to X (formerly Twitter) and quoted a PCB tweet, questioning, “Why is she treated like a queen at Lord’s?”

Naseem, who has been signed by Rawalpindiz, quickly deleted the tweet and later issued a statement claiming that his account had been hacked. Subsequently, in an official PCB statement, it was revealed that a hearing committee had been convened to address the issue.

During the hearing, the right-arm fast bowler issued an unconditional apology and dismissed his social media manager.

The PCB further stated that the manager had been blacklisted from associating with any player under its jurisdiction. However, this was not deemed sufficient, as the board also imposed a hefty fine of PKR 20 million on Naseem Shah.

According to the PCB, Naseem was “found to have breached various clauses of his central contract,” and the board reaffirmed its commitment to “upholding professional standards, contractual obligations, and the integrity of the game.”

The PCB has taken a firm stance on limiting political expression by its players. Earlier, all-rounder Aamer Jamal was also fined 1 million PKR for displaying a slogan in support of former Prime Minister and Pakistan captain Imran Khan.
