Nat Sciver-Brunt slammed a century for MI Women in a clash against RCB in WPL 2026.
The 16th match of the ongoing Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 is underway on January 26 (Monday) between the Mumbai Indians (MI) Women and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) Women. This is the second clash between the sides in WPL 2026, as they also locked horns in the tournament opener on January 9.
RCB Women captain Smriti Mandhana won the toss and opted to bowl first in the clash, which is taking place at BCA Stadium in Vadodara. However, the decision turned out to be a horrible move as MI Women piled up a gigantic total of 199/4 in the first innings.
Nat Sciver-Brunt and Hayley Matthews led the way for MI’s huge total in the encounter. They hammered RCB bowlers all over the park and left no stone unturned to propel the team’s scoreboard to a mountainous total.
While MI Women opener Sajeevan Sajana (7) got out cheaply at the start, Matthews (56 off 39) went on to score a half-century. She gave a wonderful start to the batting with Brunt, as they etched a partnership of 131 runs for the second wicket.
After Matthews’ dismissal in the 15th over, Sciver followed up on the brilliant start and reached the three-figure mark in the 20th over. Hammering 16 boundaries and one six, the England all-rounder scored an unbeaten 100 runs off 57 deliveries at a strike rate of 175+.

While UP Warriors Georgia Voll scored an unbeaten 99 runs last season, RCB’s Sophie Devine got out for 99 runs in the 2023 edition. As a result, Sciver has also smashed the highest-ever individual score in WPL history.
