"Support vs Congratulations" Naveen-ul-Haq responds to critics with Instagram post after three-wicket haul against Australia

Naveen-ul-Haq registered figures of 3/20 against Australia in Super 8 match at ICC T20 World Cup 2024

Afghanistan pacer Naveen-ul-Haq delivered match-winning spell against mighty Australia as he helped his side win the Super 8 clash on June 23 at the Arnos Vale Ground, Kingstown, St Vincent, in the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup 2024

After being asked to bat first, Afghanistan openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz (60) and Ibrahim Zadran (51) stitched an opening partnership of 118 runs. However, Australia veteran pacer Pat Cummins took a hat trick as his side restricted the Afghans to 148/6 in 20 overs.

With the ball for Australia, Pat Cummins picked up a three-wicket haul, whereas leg-spinner Adam Zampa took two scalps.

While chasing 149 runs, Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell played a fighting knock of 59 runs, but the rest of the batters failed to cross even the 15-run mark as Afghanistan won the crucial match by 21 runs.

Afghanistan all-rounder Gulbadin Naib was adjudged Player of the Match for his brilliant four-wicket haul. This is also the first ever victory for Afghanistan over Australia in T20I cricket.

Naveen-ul-Haq slams critics with his latest Instagram post

Following the game, Afghanistan pacer Naveen-ul-Haq posted a strong message on his social media handle Instagram, which has gone viral. During the match, the fast bowler was one of the architects, along with all-rounder Gulbadin Naib in Afghanistan’s biggest T20I win till now.

With the ball, star pacer Naveen took three crucial wickets against Australia. The Afghanistan pacer removed Travis Head, Mitchell Marsh, and David Warner, which set the tone of the match. Naveen ended his quota of four overs with figures of 3/20.

After winning the match against Australia, Naveen took to his Instagram and uploaded a post that shows two situations. The first slide on the left reads support, whereas the second one on the right shows a stadium, compared to a stand full of fans.

The first slide reads support, whereas the second one reads congratulations. The Afghanistan pacer captioned the post with a finger on the lips emoji, citing people don’t support them very often but jump on while congratulating them.
