New Zealand have been grouped alongside Australia and India in Group A at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024.
The New Zealand women’s team will be making their eighth appearance at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in the upcoming edition that will be played in the UAE from October 3.
In the ICC Women’s T20 Cup 2024, the White Ferns are placed in Group A along with Australia, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka.
Sophie Devine will be leading the team into the upcoming women’s mega event. New Zealand have not gone past the first round in the last three editions.
Their best results came in the first two editions where they made it to the finals, but lost to England in 2009 and to Australia in 2010. New Zealand will look to end their trophy drought this year.
So far, they have won 24 out of 36 matches played in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup.

Their first game is against India on October 4. Their second match is against the defending champions Australia on October 8. New Zealand will then face Sri Lanka and Pakistan on October 12 and 14, respectively.

New Zealand will play at two different venues. They will face India and Pakistan at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, while their matches against Australia and Sri Lanka will be held at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
