NZC released a high-profile schedule for New Zealand's home season in 2023-24.

The upcoming summer will have a hectic schedule for the Black Caps. New Zealand are in for a busy calendar as they are scheduled to play some high-profile series across all three formats, including two big tours of Australia and South Africa in the longest format. Recently, the New Zealand Cricket Board (NZC) revealed the summer fixtures for the Black Caps home season in 2023–24.

This home season will kick off with a white-ball series against Bangladesh during the last two weeks of December. Both teams will lock horns in three ODIs and the same number of T20 internationals. Then, New Zealand will have an 11-day break before a five-match T20I series against the Men in Green. That series will be played between January 12 and 21.

Then, the two-match test series against South Africa will start on February 4. This will be an important series in the new World Test Championship cycle. It will be followed by another high-voltage series against trans-Tasman rivals, Australia. Both teams will play three T20Is, starting on February 21 in Wellington, followed by two test matches, which will start on February 29.

New Zealand's women will also play three T20Is and three ODIs against Pakistan from December 3 to 18. They will also face England women's team between March 19 and April 7 in a five-match T20I series and three ODIs. In a press release, the NZC said that they have scheduled ten double-headers to meet the needs of different audiences.

NZC chief David David White said: "In terms of venues with lights, we've been able to schedule several back-to-back night matches and day matches to ensure good opportunities for both families and adult patrons. It's a strategy that also complements our need to prioritise energy efficiency."
