New Zealand will host Team India for a multi-format series between October 22 and December 01.

India are currently playing a home T20I series against West Indies, scheduled to end on October 17 with the fifth T20I. After a four-day break, Team India will take the field again.

They are set to tour New Zealand for a multi-series, featuring 5 T20Is, 5 ODIs, and 2 Tests between October 22 and December 01, 2026. The tour will begin with the five-match T20I series and conclude on November 1 in Hamilton.

It will be an action-packed series between two strong batting lineups and the finalists of the last T20 World Cup. It will be followed by a crucial five-match ODI series between November 4 and 15.

The matches will be played in Auckland, Wellington, Hamilton, and Mount Maunganui, respectively. Fans are excited for this series as Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will be in action. Meanwhile, New Zealand will wear a special jersey for the ODI series.

New Zealand will sport a special jersey during the ODI series against India. It will be a limited-edition jersey, worn to celebrate the 100 years of sporting ties between India and New Zealand. The jersey is beautifully designed with patterns depicting Mandala art, the lotus flower, and Māori traditions.

The New Zealand Cricket Board (NZC) said in a statement, “Introducing the limited-edition Kotahitanga ODI shirt. A celebration of two cultures bound by their love of cricket. To commemorate 100 years of sporting ties between Aotearoa and India.”

Artists Ben Thomson, Shiv Narandas, and Jay Pancha created this design. Shiv and Jai belong to Gujarat, and they contributed three motifs to the newly launched design.

These motifs are a repeating ogee pattern inspired by Indian architecture, the lotus, India’s national flower, and the mandala, whose symmetrical structure complements Māori design traditions.

Meanwhile, Thomason incorporated Māori kowhaiwhai patterns and haehae lines, which will honour those who helped build the relationship between the nations. The notable centenary pattern represents the 100-year-old sporting connection between the two countries.

When will the India vs New Zealand ODI series begin?

The series will be played between November 4 and 15.
