New Zealand will play England in ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 opening match in Ahmedabad on October 5.

The final schedule for the World Cup warm-up matches was made public by the International Cricket Council (ICC). Ten practice matches for the competition will be played at three Indian venues beginning on September 29.

There will be four days dedicated to the warm-up games: September 29, September 30, October 2, and October 3. The 10 games will take place in Hyderabad, Thiruvananthapuram, and Guwahati, respectively. The ten games are spread out across the three cities as follows: four in Hyderabad, two in Guwahati, and one each in Thiruvananthapuram and Guwahati.

There will be two exhibition games for each of the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup teams.

New Zealand’s World Cup 2023 Warm-up Games:

New Zealand are set to open the World Cup 2023 tournament when they face off against champions England at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad on October 5.

The Tom Latham-led New Zealand side will play two warm-up matches in two venues separately. Their first warm-up match will be against Pakistan at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, on September 29.

On the other hand, they will play their second warm-up match against South Africa at the Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram, on October 2nd.

The playing conditions for the World Cup allow teams to field all 15 members of their squads during the warm-up matches since the games won’t carry ODI status.

September 29- New Zealand vs. Pakistan, Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad- 2 PM IST

October 2- New Zealand vs. South Africa, Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram- 2 PM IST

Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad, and Greenfield International Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram will host the two warm-up matches of the New Zealand team.

The tickets for the Sri Lanka ICC World Cup 2023 Warm-up matches will go online for sale on August 25 from 8 PM IST.
