[Watch] Nicholas Pooran smashes Reece Topley for a 106m six in RCB vs LSG clash

LSG’s vice-captain Nicholas Pooran scored 40* runs against RCB in Bengaluru.

In the 15th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at the M. Chinnaswamy stadium on April 2, LSG hard-hitter Nicholas Pooran smashed a huge 106-meter six against RCB left-arm pacer Reece Topley, with the ball going to the roof-top.

The incident occurred in the 19th over of the LSG’s innings when Topley bowled the fourth ball of the over with Pooran on strike. The left-arm seamer bowled a slower short ball, and the left-handed batter, Pooran, waited on the back foot and hammered it towards the deep mid-wicket. The ball landed on the roof and went out of the ground.

Earlier in the same over, Pooran had already smashed two consecutive sixes. In the entire over, Topley conceded 20 runs. During his stay at the crease, Pooran hammered 40* off 21 balls including one boundary and five maximums at a staggering strike rate of 190.48. His quick-fire knock helped the visitors reach 181/5 in 20 overs.
