Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya were present at Anant Ambani-Radhika’s sangeet ceremony.

After winning the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 final against South Africa in Barbados on June 29, Indian captain Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, and Suryakumar Yadav attended the sangeet ceremony of Mumbai Indians’ (MI) owner Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant in Mumbai on July 5, Friday.

The trio of Hardik, Rohit, and Suryakumar played big role in helping the Indian cricket team lift the ICC T20 World Cup after 17 long years. The Men in Blue also ended their 11-year ICC title drought.

The 37-year-old Rohit became the second Indian skipper after legendary MS Dhoni to lift the T20 World Cup title. Rohit also smashed fastest fifty of the tournament, in just 19 balls.

Rohit achieved this feat during the Super 8 clash against mighty Australia. The Indian cricket team also became the first side to win the T20 World Cup unbeaten.

Nita Ambani cries while hugging Rohit Sharma

On July 4, the Indian cricket team touched down in New Delhi around 6:00 AM. The T20 World Cup 2024 winners then met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence before departing for Mumbai on the very same day.

After reaching Mumbai, the Rohit-led side had an open-top bus T20 World Cup 2024 victory parade from Marine Drive to the iconic Wankhede Stadium in the evening on July 4.

After that, a felicitation ceremony was organized by the BCCI in front of the massive Wankhede crowd. The Indian cricket team also took a victory lap and sang ‘Vande Mataram’ with the crowd.

Rohit, Hardik and Suryakumar, who play for the Mumbai Indians franchise in the Indian Premier League, were congratulated by the Ambani family in front of the guests during Anant Ambani and Radhika’s sangeet ceremony on July 6. Many star cricketers and famous celebrities attended the sangeet ceremony on July 5.

Billionaire industrialist Mukesh Ambani’s wife Nita Ambani, who also is the owner of Mumbai Indians franchise, called the T20 World Cup 2024-winning captain Rohit on stage to honor him for his historic run in the recently concluded ICC tournament. After Rohit came onto the stage, Nita hugged him and shed some tears.

Nita also called Hardik and Suryakumar after Indian skipper Rohit, and she emotionally hugged both cricketers. She also lauded the Indian stars for their performance at the recently concluded ICC tournament.
