Nitish Kumar Reddy was recently ruled out of the England tour after suffering a knee injury.
Injured India all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy is currently facing legal issues. The former agent of the India and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) player has filed a case against him for more than Rs 5 crores in outstanding debts.
Since his outstanding test debut in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2024-25, Nitish Kumar Reddy’s situation has not been good. The Andhra all-rounder had a dismal Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 season with his franchise, SRH.
Prior to the test series against England, Nitish Kumar Reddy increased his bowling load despite carrying an injury from IPL 2025. But after participating in the Birmingham and the Lord’s tests, he sustained a severe knee injury that kept him out of action for the remainder of the season.
Nitish Kumar Reddy’s player agency sues him for unpaid dues

India Today report stated that sources have confirmed that Nitish Reddy’s relationship with his previous player agency, Square the One, ended during the BGT 2024–25. The player then secured a contract with the manager of another cricket star from India who was on that tour.
Under Section 11(6) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, player management company Square the One Private Limited has filed a case, claiming non-payment of dues and breach of the management agreement. The Delhi High Court is scheduled to hear the matter on July 28.
The petition asks for the appointment of an impartial arbiter to decide disputes pertaining to the player’s claimed illegal breach of contract and failure to pay contractual obligations.
Sources familiar with the situation have also stated that Square The One had been Nitish Reddy’s agent since 2021, before his IPL success. Over the course of their four-year collaboration, the agency is credited with helping Reddy secure numerous brand sponsorships and business alliances.
“Ninety percent of such disputes do not reach court and are resolved privately. But in this case, Nitish refused to pay any money and claimed he had secured the deals himself,” a source said on condition of anonymity.
The 22-year-old Nitish Kumar Reddy has played seven tests and four T20Is for India. He has 343 runs in tests, including one century and 8 wickets. In T20Is, he has 3 wickets and 90 runs, including one fifty.
