Ishan Kishan missed the second and third NZ vs IND T20Is due to a low-grade right adductor strain.

India have been superb in the ongoing five-match T20I series against New Zealand. They are leading the series 3-0 with two games left to play. In all three wins, India have performed well. The fourth T20I will be played at Eden Park on Friday.

Ishan Kishan entered the ongoing T20I series as the No. 1 ranked T20I batter. He featured in the first game in Christchurch and scored just 1 off 3. Later, he was sidelined for the next two games due to a low-grade right adductor strain.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi replaced him in India’s playing XI. He looked good in the 3rd T20I in Wellington with a quick cameo. Some media reports claim Ishan is nearing full fitness, and he was even spotted practising in the nets ahead of the fourth T20I.

Earlier, bowling coach Morne Morkel confirmed that Ishan wasn’t fit for the third T20I but has joined the team to train. He said, “Ishan Kishan is unavailable for the 3rd T20I. He’s here to train and is doing well. But his unavailability is mostly precautionary”.

If Ishan gets fit, will he play in Auckland? The left-hander is also part of the ODI series starting on November 4. Hence, he is unlikely to play the remaining two T20Is, as he will prepare for the ODIs. Indian management might stick with Sooryavanshi at the top and give him more chances.

India have shown why they are currently the best T20I side in the world. The third game was the prime example. They set the world record for the highest powerplay score in T20I cricket.

The opening pair of Abhishek and Vaibhav scored 118 in the first six overs and added 133 runs for the opening wicket in 7.1 overs. Vaibhav scored a quick 45 off 19 balls, with 4 fours and 4 sixes at a strike rate of 236.84.

Abhishek scored his fourth T20I ton off 35 balls. He scored 113 off 38 balls at a mind-boggling strike rate of 297.37, with 11 sixes and 9 fours. The fourth T20I is all set to be played at Eden Park in Auckland.

Team India will look to carry on the winning momentum and stretch their lead to 4-0. Eden Park is known for offering flat wickets, and we might see another high-scoring thriller in the fourth T20I.

When and where will the NZ vs IND fourth T20I take place?

The fourth T20I will be played at Eden Park in Auckland on Friday at 12:30 AM IST.
