Oman Schedule for ICC T20 World Cup 2024, Fixtures, Dates, Venues

Oman will kick-off their ICC T20 World Cup 2024 campaign against Namibia on 2nd June, 2024.

ICC announced the schedule for ICC T20 World Cup 2024, and Oman find themselves in group B alongside cricket heavyweights Australia, England, Scotland, and Namibia. The tournament will kick-off on 1 June, 2024 in a new revamped format, where 20 teams will participate. Teams have been divided into four groups of five. The top two teams from each group will move on to the Super 8 stage, followed by a split into two groups of four. From there, the top two teams will secure a spot in the semi-finals, building up to the grand finals.

Oman will step into the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 with a history that spans two prior seasons, in 2016 and 2021. While their journeys in both editions led them to the group stage, In the T20 World Cup Oman are against teams with a rich history of tournament victories, adding excitement and challenge. With a blend of seasoned players and emerging talents, Oman will aim to navigate through the group stage and make a mark against formidable opponents.

Oman to take on defending champions England in group stage

Oman’s journey in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 presents a series of challenging fixtures, offering them a chance to prove their mettle on the global stage. Kicking off on June 2 against Namibia at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados. Following this, on June 5, they will go head-to-head with cricket powerhouse Australia at the same venue, challenging their skills.

The journey continues on June 9 as Oman will battle Scotland at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, Antigua, aiming for victory. Their final group stage encounter against England on June 13 at the same venue, will provide Oman with an opportunity to showcase their cricketing skills.
