Pakistan, led by Salman Agha, have played two matches in the tournament so far, winning one and losing one game. In their opening match, the Men in Green outplayed Oman by 93 runs. Opting to bat first, Pakistan piled up 160/7 with a half-century by Mohammad Haris (66). Later, they bundled out Oman for 67 runs, winning the match by a huge margin.
In their second match, Pakistan lost to India by seven wickets. After electing to bat first, they piled up 127/9 in the first innings. Later, India chased down the target with an unbeaten 47-run knock by skipper Suryakumar Yadav.

The UAE have also played two games in Asia Cup 2025. They lost their first match against India by nine wickets. They were bowled out for 57 runs in the first innings before India chased down the target like a walk in the park.
Later, they defeated Oman by 42 runs in their next encounter. Notably, India have already qualified for Super Four Round from group A, and only one slot is left to be filled from group A in the Super Four stage. With Oman already losing two games and getting eliminated, the match between Pakistan and the UAE has become a virtual qualifier, where the winners will join India in the Super Four stage.
