Pakistan to host first ODI Tri-series in 6 years, New Zealand and South Africa to participate - Check schedule

The ODI Tri-series will be a precursor to the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), on July 5, 2024, unveiled the schedule for a bumper 2024-25 season for the Pakistan team. And this schedule included a rare ODI Tri-series involving South Africa and New Zealand as well.
This will be the first ODI Tri-series in which Pakistan will participate after 21 years and this will also serve as a preparation for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 tournament, to be hosted in Pakistan. The announcement was made on the PCB’s website with the announcement of Pakistan’s home international series dates.
The Pakistan home season will begin with a test series against Bangladesh, who will play two tests in Rawalpindi (21-25 August) and Karachi (30 August-3 September).
Pakistan will then host England for three tests in Multan (7-11 October), Karachi (15-19 October) and Rawalpindi (24-28 October), and then the West Indies will visit Pakistan for two tests in Karachi (16-20 January) and Multan (24-28 January).
Bangladesh last played a Test in Pakistan in February 2020, and England swept the three-match series in December 2022. The forthcoming West Indies test tour to Pakistan will be the Caribbean team’s first since 2006 when Brian Lara’s side faced Inzamam-Ul-Haq-led side.
Schedule for the Pakistan-South Africa-New Zealand ODI Tri-series
Pakistan are scheduled to play an ODI Tri-series against South Africa and New Zealand in February 2025. This will be the first ODI Tri-series for the green shirts in 21 years and the first in ODI cricket since 2019 when West Indies, Ireland, and Bangladesh clashed in Ireland.
The Tri-series, which includes New Zealand and South Africa, will be held in Multan from February 8 to 14. The ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final is planned for March 9, bringing the season to a close.
Schedule for the Pakistan-South Africa-New Zealand ODI Tri-series:
8 Feb – Pakistan v New Zealand, Multan
10 Feb – New Zealand v South Africa, Multan
12 Feb – Pakistan v South Africa, Multan
14 Feb – Final, Multan
