Pakistan Women will face Bangladesh women in their opening game of ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025.

Pakistan Women have announced their squad for the upcoming ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025. Fatima Sana will lead the team in the ICC tournament, while Muneeba Ali Siddiqui will be the vice-captain of the team.

ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 will commence on September 30 and will be hosted by India and Sri Lanka. Pakistan Women will play their opening game against Bangladesh Women on October 2.

Notably, Pakistan Women will not play any of their games in India. All of their matches will be played at R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. If they reach the semi-final or final, then those games will also be played in Colombo.

Pakistan Women squad for ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025

Notably, Pakistan Women have named uncapped batter Eyman Fatima in their squad. She recently made her T20I debut in Ireland. Moreover, players like Natalia Parvaiz, Rameen Shamim, Sadaf Shamas, Sadia Iqbal, Shawaal Zulfiqar and Syeda Aroob Shah will make their maiden Women’s Cricket World Cup appearances. Moreover, Pakistan Women have also named five reserve players for the tournament.

Pakistan Women Squad: Fatima Sana (C), Muneeba Ali Siddiqui (vc), Aliya Riaz, Diana Baig, Eyman Fatima, Nashra Sundhu, Natalia Parvaiz, Omaima Sohail, Rameen Shamim, Sadaf Shamas, Sadia Iqbal, Shawaal Zulfiqar, Sidra Amin, Sidra Nawaz, Syeda Aroob Shah.

Travelling Reserves: Gull Feroza, Najiha Alvi, Tuba Hassan, Umm-e-Hani, Waheeda Akhtar

Notably, the same squad will also feature in a three-match ODI series against South Africa Women ahead of the World Cup. The series will be played from September 16 to 22 in Lahore.

Meanwhile, Pakistan Women were the worst performers in the previous edition of the tournament in 2022. They won just one game and lost six matches out of seven clashes. With two points, Pakistan Women finished at the last spot in the points table.

Meanwhile, ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 will witness a battle among eight teams for the title. They are Pakistan Women, India Women, Sri Lanka Women, Bangladesh Women, Australia Women, New Zealand Women, England Women, and South Africa Women. The final will be played on November 2.
