"Bohat garmi hai": Pakistan's Azam Khan lands in big controversy after wiping sweat with US dollar notes

Pakistan wicket-keeper batter Azam Khan has landed in hot water after he was spotted wiping sweat on his forehead with US dollar notes.
The Babar Azam-led Pakistan team are currently in England for a four-match T20I series. The first game of the series at Headingley was washed out due to persistent rain on May 22. The second T20I is all set to be played at Edgbaston in Birmingham on May 25. The last two matches are scheduled for May 28 and May 30 in Cardiff and London respectively.
After this, both nations will take part in the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup 2024, which will be played in June. The marquee global tournament will be jointly hosted by the West Indies and the USA.
Bohat garmi hai: Pakistanâs Azam Khan seen wiping sweat with dollar notes
A video is going viral on social media where the Pakistan wicket-keeper Azam Khan is seen wiping his forehead with US dollar notes. The video was captured by Pakistanâs white-ball captain Babar Azam. Some other team members can be heard laughing.
In the viral video, the Pakistan skipper asks Azam Khan, âWhat happened Abba?â
Khan replies, âBohat garmi hai (It is too hot here)â before proceeding to wipe the sweat on his forehead with a few US dollar notes that were in his hand.
It is to be noted that the viral video is from May 20, which was a couple of days ahead of Pakistanâs first T20I match against England.
Netizens have criticized Azam Khan and other Pakistani players for entertaining such an act.
