Pat Cummins’ video from before the tournament has gone viral.
Australia pacer Pat Cummins’ old video has gone viral in which he named his team as one of the semi-finalists of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 and then said “don’t care” when asked about the other three teams.
Afghanistan accomplished a remarkable feat by entering the semi-final of the ongoing tournament after defeating Bangladesh in the Super 8 stage. Two nights ago, they had beaten Australia for the first time in international cricket.
Led by Rashid Khan, the Afghanistan bowlers were at their best against Bangladesh, protecting a modest total of 115. Rashid led from the front, picking up four wickets, while pacer Naveen Ul Haq also took four scalps. Litton Das was the only Bangladesh batter to withstand the Afghan bowlers as he made 54* for his team.
Afghanistan will now meet South Africa on June 26 in the first semi-final in Trinidad. On the other hand, India and England will clash in the second semi-final in Guyana.

Australia had to defeat India in their final Super 8 game but lost by 24 runs. This led to them being dependent on Bangladesh to beat Afghanistan for them to make it into the last four. However, that didn’t happen.
Following Afghanistan’s victory, there has been a flood of tweets on the social media network X (previously Twitter). In that, a video of Pat Cummins, Australia’s ODI and Test skipper, has gone viral.
At the time of the IPL 2024 season, Cummins gave an interview to an Indian media channel. When asked, ‘Which team, according to you, will be the top-4 teams in the T20 World Cup?’ he replied with a smile, ‘Definitely Australia.’ When the journalist asked about the three other teams, he said, ‘Don’t care.’
