How much amount will Pat Cummins earn per match in the IPL 2024 ?

Sunrisers Hyderabad spent 20.50 crore INR on Australian skipper Pat Cummins.

Australian skipper Pat Cummins had a tremendous year in 2023. After winning two ICC titles, and retaining the Ashes against England, he has now bagged the second most expensive deal in Indian Premier League. Sunrisers Hyderabad breached the 20-crore INR mark in a bidding war with Royal Challengers Bangalore and got Australian right-arm pacer for 20.50 crores INR.

IPL mini-auction 2024 in Dubai witnessed two of the most expensive buys in the league as just an hour after Cummins’ record-breaking bid, his Australian teammate got a whopping 24.75 Crore INR and became the most expensive player in IPL history. Kolkata Knight Riders spent a huge amount of money to get Starc back in their dugout. These two players have managed to bag almost half of a team’s entire purse. 

Pat Cummins per match salary?

Australian captain Pat Cummins will be playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the upcoming IPL 2024. IPL 2016 winners SRH will be paying a huge amount of money to Pat Cummins for every single game he will be representing the Orange Army. In case SRH qualify for the playoffs in the next season and Cummins represents the team in every single game, Australian skipper will be paid 1,28,12,500 INR per match (If he goes on to play 16 matches approx).

In the second scenario, if SRH fail to qualify for IPL 2024 playoffs and finish their campaign with 14 games, he will be getting 1,46,42,857 INR for every single game (Given he plays all 14 matches). Even if Cummins plays just one match and warms the bench for the rest of the season, he will be getting this amount as a salary in Hyderabad camp. Sunrisers Hyderabad finished at the bottom of the points table in IPL 2023 as they won only 4 out of their 14 league games. 

Sunrisers Hyderabad have also got a few bargain buys in IPL mini-auction 2024 held in Dubai. Hyderabad bought Australian opener Travis Head for just 6.80 Crore INR and T20 specialist Sri Lankan all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga at a base price of just 1.50 crore INR. Sunrisers Hyderabad will probably look to change the leadership of their side as Aiden Markram despite winning the SA20 with Sunrisers Eastern Cape, failed miserably as a captain for SRH.
