Peshawar Zalmi are the finalists of the Pakistan Super League 2026 and are set to clash with Hyderabad Kingsmen (HYK) in the final. The PSL 2026 final will take place on Sunday, May 3, at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
Under Babar Azam’s captaincy, Peshawar showcased a spectacular form since the start of the tournament. After the league stage concluded, they finished at the top of the points table with 17 points.
Moreover, Babar Azam & Co. thoroughly dominated their opponents throughout the league stage, winning 8 games and losing just 1 out of 10. One match was washed out due to rain and ended with no result.
Even in the playoffs, they followed their winning momentum and outplayed Islamabad United by a huge margin of 70 runs. They posted a gigantic total of 221/7 in the first innings and later bowled out Islamabad United for 151 runs.
Peshawar have observed a phenomenal season so far, and they are just one step away from lifting the title. However, this is not the first time that Peshawar have booked a berth in the PSL final.

In the 11 editions, Peshawar have reached the final five times. They won the title once and ended as runners-up three times. Zalmi won their maiden trophy in the 2017 edition by defeating the Quetta Gladiators in the summit clash.
In the 2018 and 2019 seasons, they qualified for the final but lost to Islamabad United and Quetta Gladiators, respectively. They also made it to the final in 2021 but lost to Multan Sultans.
Hence, PSL 2026 is the fifth season in which Zalmi have qualified for the final.
