Top five player battles to watch out for in CHE vs LKN match No. 39 in IPL 2024

Match No. 39 will host a CHE vs LKN contest at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai, on Tuesday.
The defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) started the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 well with two consecutive wins. But after the end of the first half of the group stage, they have now lost three out of five games. As a result, they have slipped to fourth place with 8 points.
CSK lost their last game against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) a few days ago at Ekana Stadium. Now they will face the same team, but this time at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. So they will feel confident enough to take their revenge with a win at home.
CSK vs LSG: Head-to-Head
LSG are slightly ahead in this head-to-head competition. They have won two out of four games played between the two teams until now. CSK have won one game, and one match was called off.
CSK vs LSG: Top five player battles to watch out for
1. KL Rahul vs Matheesha Pathirana

The LSG captain KL Rahul was the Man of the Match against CSK in the last game for his brilliant 82 off 53. He played well against most of the CSK bowlers and spinners. But he couldn’t score many runs off Matheesha Pathirana. Surely, this will be in the mind of MS Dhoni, and he will bring him against Rahul. The CSK pacer bowled 11 balls to him, gave away only 13 runs, and dismissed him once.
2. Quinton de Kock vs Deepak Chahar
Quinton de Kock also scored a brilliant fifty in the last game against CSK. He made 54 off 43 and added 134 runs with Rahul for the opening wicket. However, he played against Deepak Chahar cautiously and scored only three runs off five balls from him. Chahar has done well against the left-hander. He has dismissed de Kock three times in 83 balls in the IPL and given away 109 runs.
3. Nicholas Pooran vs Ravindra Jadeja
Nicholas Pooran will be a big wicket in the game because he can take the game away in a span of a few overs. He has been doing well, but he has a weakness against a left-arm spinner, and that is where Ravindra Jadeja can be effective. The pitch for the game is expected to be a turner, which will make Jadeja even more dangerous. He has dismissed Pooran once in the IPL in 28 balls and given away 46 runs.
4. Shivam Dube vs Mohsin Khan
Shivam Dube had a rare failure this season in last match against LSG at the BRSABV Ekana Stadium. But he will be required on what is likely to be a slow pitch at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. He can be very dangerous on such surfaces. Hence, LSG can give the ball to Mohsin Khan, who has bowled well against Dube. He has bowled 21 balls at him, dismissed him once, and given away 33 runs.
5. Ruturaj Gaikwad vs Ravi Bishnoi

The CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad will have a big job on his shoulders because his team is in a tricky position. Hence, we can expect a good innings from him. He has done well in the IPL 2024 with the bat, and his numbers in Chennai are very good. But he has struggled against leg-spinners. And Ravi Bishnoi is someone, who can trouble him. Bishnoi has already dismissed him once in 11 balls, and Gaikwad has scored 17 runs against him.
