Match No. 16 will see a DC vs KKR clash on Wednesday at the Dr. YSR ACA-VDCA Stadium, Visakhapatnam.

Only two teams are currently undefeated in the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are one of them. But can they continue this streak to their third consecutive win? It will be a bit challenging because they will face Delhi Capitals (DC).

This match will take place on April 3 at the Dr. YSR ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam. DC beat the defending champions Chennai Super Kings in their last game at the same venue to collect two important points, and they will look to maintain the momentum. However, KKR are the only team to have won an away game this season so far.

DC vs KKR: Head-to-Head

The head-to-head contest between DC and KKR is very even. 32 times, these two sides have faced each other in the IPL. KKR have 16 wins as compared to DC’s 15, while one game was called off. However, DC won the last three games between the two.

Two Australian superstars will be up against each other, and it will be an exciting contest to watch. David Warner, who is coming off a match-winning half-century, will be against his countryman, Mitchell Starc. These two have played a lot with each other and know about the game plans. Starc has dismissed Warner once in the IPL, and the batter has scored 25 runs off 25 balls against him in the tournament.

2. Rishabh Pant vs Sunil Narine

Rishabh Pant got back into form with a fifty against CSK. He will be looking to collect more runs in the middle overs for his team. But he will be facing Sunil Narine, who is known for restricting the batters and bowls economically. Narine has dismissed Pant once in T20 internationals. However, he has not dismissed the batter in the IPL, but Pant has only scored 36 runs off 31 balls against him at a strike rate of 116.1.

3. Phil Salt vs Khaleel Ahmed

Phil Salt was with DC last season but was released, and now he will be playing against his old team. Salt has done well this season and has been among the runs. He will look to give a good start to the team, but he will face in-form Khaleel Ahmed, who has been superb so far with six wickets. These two haven’t faced each other, but this battle will be important for both teams in the powerplay.

4. Shreyas Iyer vs Axar Patel

The KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer took his team to victory in the last game in the chase. He will be looking to play another captain’s knock against his former team, DC. Iyer has played with some of the current DC players, but he will be up against Axar Patel. This will be a good battle in the middle overs. Axar has dismissed him once in the IPL, but Iyer has scored 62 off 40 balls against him.

5. Andre Russell vs Anrich Nortje

One of the biggest battles will be in the final overs, when Anrich Notrje will bowl Andre Russell. Both players will have a go at each other. Nortje has dismissed Russell twice in T20Is in 16 balls. But in the IPL, he is yet to dismiss him. However, Russell hasn’t scored much for him. He has only scored 12 runs off 16 balls against Nortje in the IPL.
