Top five player battles to watch out for in DC vs LKN match No. 64 in IPL 2024

DC vs LKN clash in the IPL 2024 will take place on Tuesday at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
There are three spots up for grabs in the playoff stage of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Delhi Capitals (DC) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) are still in contention and will face each other in the coming match no. 64 on Tuesday.
This match will be held at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi. If DC lose this game, it will end their campaign here as it is their last league match. If LSG lose this game, they’ll still have chance to make it to 14 points, which mathematically is still enough to qualify for the playoffs. Both teams have some good players, which will make this game more interesting for the fans.
DC vs LSG: Head-to-Head
DC and LSG have locked horns against each other four times prior to the coming match. LSG have a decent lead as they have won three games and DC have one win.
DC vs LSG: Top five player battles to watch out for
1. KL Rahul vs Axar Patel

KL Rahul has been in great form this season, but he has missed scoring big in the last two games, which is one reason that LSG lost badly. The captain will be looking to bat well and take his team to victory, which will be crucial. Hence, DC need to get him out early. For that, they have Axar Patel. The all-rounder has bowled 39 balls to Rahul, given only 30 runs, and dismissed him twice. Rahul has a strike rate of 76.9 against Axar.
2. Nicholas Pooran vs Kuldeep Yadav
Nicholas Pooran was in good form in the first half of the competition but has struggled in the last few matches. But you never know with him, and a few balls out of the middle can help him get his rhythm back, which can be a big problem for DC. But he got out for a golden duck against DC in the last game. Kuldeep Yadav has dismissed him six times in international cricket and bowled him out for a golden duck in the last match.
3. Marcus Stoinis vs Khaleel Ahmed
Marcus Stoinis is the second-best batter for LSG after Rahul. He has won their games with the bat in hand. So he will be a big wicket when he bats against Delhi. Stoinis bats at No. 3 and usually faces the new ball, which is when Khaleel Ahmed is very dangerous. Khaleel is in good form with the new ball and is swinging the ball well. He has bowled five balls to Stoinis in the IPL and got him out once.
4. Rishabh Pant vs Ravi Bishnoi

Rishabh Pant will be back as captain, as he suffered a ban in the game against RCB due to slow over-rate. Pant is in good form, and his ability to score quick runs in the middle overs is helping DC to get to big totals. It is a must-win clash for Delhi, so we expect Pant to fire. However, Ravi Bishnoi hasn’t let him do that in the past. Bishnoi has bowled 47 balls to him and dismissed him twice. Pant has scored only 54 runs against him at a strike rate of 114.9 with 21 dots.
5. Jake Fraser McGurk vs Naveen ul Haq
Jake Fraser McGurk will be the make-or-break batter for Delhi in the DC vs LSG clash. If he gets set and plays for 6-7 overs, DC will be posting a massive score. So it is important to get him out early on in the powerplay. That’s where Naveen-ul-Haq can be effective with his slower ones. He dismissed the Australian star in the last game and has conceded only five runs off five balls to him.
