Match No. 30 will be a RCB vs SRH clash in the IPL 2024, which will take place on Monday in Bengaluru.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are languishing at bottom of the points table after losing five out of the six games they have played so far in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. They are not in a situation to suffer one or two losses, but it will be an early exit for them from the competition.

So they will have to somehow pull things back. RCB will face Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their next game on Monday at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. SRH has done well this season and is fifth on the table with six points.

RCB vs SRH: Head-to-Head

The competition between the two is slightly in favour of Sunrisers Hyderabad as they have won 12 games out of 23 while RCB have 10 wins and one game was called off. However, RCB have won three out of last five games between the two.

RCB vs SRH: Top five player battles to watch

1. Virat Kohli vs Bhuvneshwar Kumar

It will be an old-age battle between two stalwarts of either team, Virat Kohli and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. Two veteran Indian stars who have played a lot with and against each other. This will be a great battle to watch. Virat has scored 109 runs off 81 balls against the pacer, while Bhuvi has dismissed the former RCB captain four times.

2. Faf du Plessis vs Pat Cummins

This is the first game this season when two overseas captains will be up against each other, and this will be an exciting contest. Pat Cummins has brilliant numbers against Du Plessis, and he will look to have his number once again. Cummins has dismissed Du Plessis nine times in international cricket. In the IPL, he has dismissed him once, while the RCB captain has scored 64 runs off 38 balls at a strike rate of 165.

3. Travis Head vs Mohammed Siraj

SRH will rely a lot on the destructive start from Travis Head. The Southpaw has shown glimpses of what he is capable of, and he will be unstoppable in a ground like Chinnaswamy. However, RCB will look to Mohammed Siraj to deliver a good spell with the new ball. Siraj has dismissed Head four times in international cricket, but this will be the first time these two will be facing each other in the IPL.

4. Abhishek Sharma vs Vijaykumar Vyshak

Abhishek Sharma has been in red-hot form, and he is giving his team good starts, which is one reason why SRH has succeeded so far. But as seen against DC, Abhishek looked a bit tentative. He can take the game away if he gets set, but he will be up against Vijaykumar Vyshak, who had a decent game against MI and bowled in tight channels. He was RCB’s most economical bowler, and he used the crease and wide line pretty well. This will be an underrated battle, but it will surely have a big impact on the game.

5. Heinrich Klaasen vs Reece Topley

Heinrich Klaasen smashed a hundred when he batted the last time against RCB, and he can certainly do something like that once again. Hence, RCB would need someone to get him out early, and they might look at Reece Topley. The tall left-arm pacer is bowling smartly this season. His left-arm angle and tactics of bowling wide to Klaasen might earn him his wicket. He has just bowled two balls to Klaasen in the IPL and given away two runs.
